The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
